In 2008 that number jumped to
166. Hundreds more were struck
down by occupational diseases
that go unrecognized in our
province. Alberta has the
weakest safety laws in the country.
On April 28, take a minute to stop
and remember those workers killed

HQ Executive On Friday October 23, 2009 AUPE convention delegates
voted for the AUPE
Executive positions! Those elected are:

third term as
AUPE Executive Secretary-Treasurer.
AUPE Executive Secretary-Treasurer.

Kyle and Glen Scott
were elected as vice-presidents in an afternoon
ballot.
Smith, Dechant and the vice-presidents will commence their two-year terms
after being officially sworn in at Convention Saturday afternoon (Oct. 24).

It states: "An Employee who is unable to report for duty due to illness is required to
inform the Employee's immediate Supervisor or designate within one (1) hour
prior to the time the Employee was to report for duty."
